Pilot Knob

Locally known as Pilot Knob, it is named Kennedy Mountain on USGS Topographic maps. Pilot Knob actually refers to an outcrop of rock on the top. A plane crashed into it long before my time, thus the name. Although it is private property, the owners are kind enough to allow people access, as long as you don’t block the gate, aren’t loud, and pick up your trash. This is a long time hang out spot for local residents. Thanks to whoever owns this for allowing access, I have spent many an enjoyable day and night on those rocks…good times.

Take only photos and leave only footprints.

Happy Trails!
