Super Moon

Tonight 7/11 and tomorrow, 7/12, is the supermoon. This happens when the moon in its elliptical orbit ventures some 50,000km closer to the Earth. The moon will be about 14% larger and 30% brighter depending on sky conditions.  Supermoons generally happen every 13 months and 18 days. Summer 2014 has three: 7/12, 8/10, and 9/9.…
